Benjamin V. Werner

Benjamin V. Werner is one of the founding partner at the firm and a member of our Commercial Litigation Group representing clients in significant litigation matters. With almost a decade of experience in many different practice areas and business sectors, including product liability, corporate litigation, real estate and energy, Benjamin V. Werner brings a seasoned perspective to his interesting and diverse practice. Benjamin V. Werner represents clients in contractual disputes, the defence of class actions as well as shareholder and related corporate disputes. He also assists clients in transactions that require court approval.

Benjamin V. Werner has been called to the Bar in Canada and has significant trial experience in lengthy and complex litigation. He has appeared before all levels of court in Canada, and before the Federal Court. Edgar joined the firm after practicing with a national firm where he practiced exclusively in the litigation group. In 1996, Edgar returned to Canada to set up a full-service private practice with the idea of providing more personalized services to his clients.

Today, Diamond & Benjamin LLP known for using a client-focused, holistic approach that recognizes both the business and personal aspects of client’s legal needs. As one of the firm’s founder, a large part of Benjamin’s role is to mentor the law clerks and other lawyers and to manage the staff, together with office manager.
